Point Ybel Brewing Company opens today

Fort Myers- Southwestern Florida has cause for celebration. Congratulations to Point Ybel Brewing Company. Today, Saturday December 14th is their opening day.

From Point Ybel Brewing:

The fun starts at high noon. All major credit cards are accepted in the tasting room. However, in an effort to expedite service since we are expecting a very large crowd, please bring cash for beer tokens and on-site food.

Authentic Mexican food will be available on-site for cash only. There are several restaurants within walking distance that accept credit cards and/or deliver to the brewery.

Live music will be from 1pm-6pm by local Southwest Florida band sowFLo! Check them out at www.sowflo.com.

We will have a raffle with prizes provided by World of Beer – Ft. Myers and Time to Make Wine!

Point Ybel Brewing Company announces opening day

Point Ybel Brewing Company, one of Southwest Florida’s most anticipated breweries, has announced opening day.

Point Ybel Brewing company brews first batches

Southwest Florida is a few steps closer to a new brewery on their doorstep. Point Ybel Brewing Company, a brewery opening in the Point Ybel area of Fort Myers has posted pictures to their Facebook page of beer-making activities at their facility. According to the pictures and posts, the efforts today are going toward brewing Sanibel Red, which according to Point Ybel’s website is a 5% red ale with “[t]oasted malts with a sweet and bready flavor. Has a low hop character. Brewed with local Mangrove honey. Easy to drink.”

While the folks at Point Ybel strayed away from giving an exact opening date, when a local beer enthusiast asked if they were still shooting for mid-October, the brewery responded with a response of “Soon!”
