Proof Brewing Company Releases Warpath Imperial IPA Limited Edition Cans

Proof Brewing Co. is set to release the award-winning Warpath Imperial IPA in limited edition four-pack cans on Thursday, August 29th at 4 pm in the tasting room only. The crowd-pleasing 8% ABV Imperial IPA brewed annually in the fall at the start of the college football season, pays tribute to our hometown team. Warpath’s hoppy flavor will galvanize your taste buds and your thirst for victory.

“Last year, sales of 4-pack cans exceeded all expectations and we sold out quickly,” said Founder, Byron Burroughs. “We’ve increased production to ensure this Tallahassee tradition can be shared with friends at football tailgates, social events, or anywhere you are on the Warpath!”

Warpath IPA, a Tallahassee favorite, is a limited release beer from Proof Brewing Company, and it was first released in 2014 to celebrate the FSU Seminoles’ national championship victory. The beer was first released on draft only, but its status as a crowd favorite led to an eventual can release.

Warpath Imperial IPA is brewed with Mosaic, Cryo Azacca, El Dorado, and Citra hops. The hop profile emulates the juicy flavors of New England-Style hazy IPAs but with the dryness and mouthfeel of West Coast-Styles. The complex layers of hops create a tropical dank flavor, and citrusy aroma supported by a balanced malt backbone. With over six pounds of hops per barrel, this Imperial IPA leads the way in a modern IPA world.

Proof Brewing adds Proof Lager to year-round distribution

Lager will be added to the year-round line up with limited distribution in Florida. Our salute to the classic German style! Proof Lager has a clean, crisp finish which pairs perfectly with a sunny day or any day you please.

Proof Brewing Company releases La La Land IPA as a year-round beer

Press Release: Proof Brewing Co. is set to release the highly anticipated La La Land West Coast-style IPA in six-pack cans in the brewery’s new tasting room on Friday, March 15^th at 11:00 AM. La La Land IPA will be added to the year-round line up with limited distribution in Florida. East meets West in our homage to the classic West Coast-style. Featuring bright aromas and flavors of citrus and tropical fruit, with a crisp, resinous bitterness. A vibrant balance of hops and malts for any landscape!

This award-winning beer brought home the Silver Medal for Best IPA in the Best Florida Beer Competition 2018! ???? It was also rated a top 50 IPA in a blind taste test by Paste Magazine, describing it as, “Big citrus (lemon) and tropical (mango) juiciness is buttressed by a whole lot of grass/resin…”

Proof Brewing Company opens new facility at 1320 South Monroe

Proof Brewing Company is all set to open their new brewery and tasting room at 1320 South Monroe Street in Tallahassee. They sent a grand opening announcement out this morning.

The time has come. It’s here—and we’re excited to announce the grand opening of our new location at 1320 South Monroe! It has been an adventurous journey to bring us to where we are now, and it wouldn’t at all be possible without your support. This full move and expansion has been laborious, but we have an incredible, hard-working team of dedicated staff. Our new home on South Monroe, next to downtown and beautiful Cascades Park will have a grand opening on February 8^th starting at 11 am. We invite you to join us that weekend in our new forever home.

Here is a short list of everything you should know about the move. Expanded hours (now open seven days a week), a new onsite restaurant called Proper, full bar with cocktail menu plus wine, a private event room for parties and corporate events, and expanded brewery production space for more packaged products (Yes, this means La La Land is coming SOON!).

Proof Brewing Company announces new facility

Press Release: Proof Brewing Company is excited to announce plans to begin renovations on the 34,000 square-foot former Coca-Cola Bottling Company building on South Monroe Street. Proof Brewing Co.’s relocation to 1320 South Monroe, next to the heart of the capital, will feature an expanded tasting room, retail store, private event space, kitchen, and beer garden. The facility will be centrally located near the redevelopment of South Monroe and the downtown district and walking distance to beautiful Cascades Park. The brewery production expansion will feature efficiency upgrades, quality control lab, and additional fermentation capacity. In total, the renovation and expansion will increase the facility’s potential production capacity to 30,000 barrels with additional room to grow.

A can of Proof Brewing Company’s 850 Pale Ale sits in the empty space where the brewery will soon call home.

“We are thrilled to continue our growth on South Monroe Street,” said Byron & Angela Burroughs, Proof Brewing Company’s founders. “We are really appreciative of all of the support we have received from our local community including our patrons, the City, County, and partners throughout the State of Florida.”

Since 2012, Proof Brewing Co. has experienced explosive growth, doubling production each year with 6,000 barrels produced in 2017. The larger building and additional fermentation capacity will enable the brew staff to expand production of Proof Brewing Co.’s core lineup of bold and flavorful beers. Proof Brewing Co. will add more packaged brands in cans, in addition to their wildly popular Eightfive-0 American Pale Ale and Mango Wit Belgian-Style Wit beer. Renovations on the historic Coca-Cola Bottling Company building, built in 1948, will begin in March of 2018 with plans to open by Winter of 2018. The renovation of this facility will allow Proof Brewing Co. to increase production to over 15,000 barrels within the first two years. Proof Brewing Co. currently employs thirty staff members between the tasting room, the production facility, and administration. The new facility will require additional employees and support staff as new markets are reached throughout the state of Florida and beyond.

“This will be a year of growth and development for Proof Brewing Company. We are proud of our growth in Tallahassee and we’re thrilled to reinvest back into the community that has been so supportive of us. It will be an amazing experience to revitalize a historical building near the flourishing downtown district of Tallahassee on South Monroe. Reintroducing manufacturing jobs to this district to serve the Tallahassee community will be a very exciting journey,” said Byron & Angela Burroughs.

The tasting room will serve Proof Brewing Co.’s year-round beers on draft in addition to seasonal and pilot batch beer. Guests can enjoy beers on-site while relaxing in the family friendly tasting room and play outdoor games in the beer garden. Merchandise and package varieties will be available for purchase at the retail counter. The tasting room bar will fill growlers and crowlers to-go.

Intuition Ale Works and Proof Brewing to pour collab beer
