3 Daughters Brewing to open in Saint Petersburg

Pinellas County is quickly moving to keep pace with its neighboring Hillsborough in the brewery opening competition.

While Saint Petersburg Brewing, Green Bench Brewing, Cycle Brewing, and Pair o Dice Brewing have all announced future (some sooner than later) openings in Pinellas County, Three Daughters Brewing, owned by Mike Harting of Bella Brava Trattoria, has announced its intention to open a brewery and tasting room in the downtown area of Saint Petersburg.

The website for Three Daughters announces their future opening, and their Facebook page is active.

Three Daughters apparently is also a name used by the Leieritz Brewing Company of Denver, Colorado. No word on any possible trademark disputes.

No need to wait for construction to finish to sample their beer, Three Daughters will be pouring at the 97X Craft Beer Experience on August 17th.

Cycle Brewing looking to a September opening

Cycle Brewing, an offshoot of Peg’s Cantina in Gulfport, has been working and constructing towards opening a separate brewery facility in downtown Saint Petersburg.

Recently, brewer Doug Dozark posted on social media that a group called the Burg Pub Riders.

We had a surprise visit from the Burg Pub Riders last night! They got a sneak peek at our new bar. We’re looking forward to officially hosting them next month when we are open for business!

The new facility will have a 7-barrel brewhouse and will allow Dozark to continue to brew his recipes in a separate facility at 534 Central Avenue, while still brewing at Peg’s Cantina and Brewpub in Gulfport.

More information on Cycle’s opening when an official date is posted.

Saint Petersburg is looking very busy for brewery openings with Cycle Brewing, Green Bench Brewing, Three Daughters Brewing, and Saint Petersburg Brewing Company all opening within a few months of each other, and in the case of Cycle and Green Bench likely within weeks of each other. Pinellas County is looking to become a hotbed of brewery activity.
