Cajun Cafe on the Bayou presents a world class sour beer festival

It seems like every beer festival that Cajun Cafe on the Bayou in Pinellas Park throws gets bigger and better. In this spirit of constant bar-raising comes the 2014 Cajun Cafe Sour Festival. How can one raise the bar on a sour beer festival? Check the highlight reel:

* Cajun Cafe owner Paul Unwin prides himself on finding and presenting beers unavailable in the Florida Market during his festivals. This sour festival will see beers from Sahtipaja of Sweden, Trinity of Fort Collins, and several others.

* Aside from out-of-market beers, Unwin works to get some of the best beers from Florida’s indigenous breweries like Cigar City, Tequesta, 7venth Sun, Rapp, Green Bench, Six Ten, and many more.

* Cajun Cafe Festivals also showcase Florida’s up-and-coming breweries from around the state like Coppertail, Gravity Brewlab, Angry Chair, and Wild Oak Artisan Ales.

* In addition to all of these fine ale advocates, Cajun Cafe will be hosting Eric and Lauren Salazar from New Belgium Brewing Company to talk about sour beer, blending beers, and pouring La Folie (Sour Brown Ale) and Loves Leopold (Sour Beer Aged in Blackberry Whiskey Barrels).

Cajun Cafe on the Bayou is located at 8101 Park Avenue in Pinellas Park. The Third Annual Sour, Berliner Weisse, and Lambic Festival will last from 2-6pm on Saturday, June 14th. Admission is $50 in advance on ETIX.com and $65 at the gate, if not sold out. The festival features 150 beers to taste, is mostly under cover, and provides a plate of food with the beers.
