Gainesville’s original craft brewery would usually throw a weekend bash to celebrate their anniversary. There would be special beers on tap, commemorative glassware, and faces new and old would come through the Wetlands (tasting room) to celebrate another trip around the sun. In 2021, though, that is not the case. Out of an abundance of caution during the COVID-19 pandemic, Swamp Head Brewery has decided to release their anniversary beers, and their nostalgia, in cans available in their drive-thru station.
Swamp Head Brewery will triple its production and upgrade its tasting room while solidifying its commitment to the environment with a new brewery that is the first in the state to use solar power.

Swamp Head has broken ground on their new 13,000 sq. ft. facility that will be located at 3650 SW 42nd Ave, Gainesville, FL. Scherer Construction of Gainesville is managing the ground up design/build project.
Gainesville’s production brewery has certainly been busy. With the addition of limited firkins and the promise of building a new brewery, the stalwart Gainesvillians have not been idle.
