Tampa Bay Brewing Company

Tampa Bay Brewing Company’s new facility

Tampa Bay Brewing Company has been operating for years out of their Ybor City pub location, maximizing their brewing system while distributing cans of Old Elephant Foot IPA and kegs of several more popular TBBC brands.

Now the brewery has told the world of its plans to build a new brewery, tap room, and pub in Hillsborough County. The new Tampa Bay Brewing Company will be situated at Race Track Road and Hillsborough Avenue in Tampa and is estimated to bring 60 new jobs to Tampa. The complex is 17,400 square feet and will allow Tampa Bay Brewing Company to expand distribution across Florida.

Tampa Bay Brewing Company would also expand to brewing on a 30-barrel brewing system in order to satisfy demand for their beers.

Coppertail Brewing gaining momentum

Coppertail Brewing, Tampa’s lovable up-and-comers, has just posted a few details on how the brewery’s next few months will be shaping up:

*By the end of the month we hope to have the new brewery totally installed and ready for testing.

*In early May we’ll test the system and do some brews with water and cleaners. Also in May we hope to do some test brews with actual beer to see how the recipes are scaling up to the big system.

*We expect to open our temporary tasting room and start shipping draft beer to local bars in June / July.

*We plan to have bottled beer on shelves and open our real tasting room in September / October.

*Will there be a grand opening party? and when is it? Yes!!! We’ll announce something here, on Facebook and Twitter, as soon as we know.

*There will be more free pop-up tastings.

*Coppertail will be pouring at Spring Hops Festival.

Until then, keep a weather eye on the horizon because there’s a Coppertail out there in Tampa Bay.

Six Ten Brewing looks at grand opening during Tampa Bay Beer Week

Press Release:

Six Ten Brewing is excited to announce the upcoming opening of its craft brewery and tasting room. The 2300 square feet facility is located at 7052 Benjamin Road and sits just south of the canal in the Town and Country neighborhood of Tampa. The three vessel, ten barrel brewhouse was custom built by Premier Stainless Systems of Escondido California and was engineered specifically for Six Ten Brewing. The first kegs are expected to be tapped in early March to celebrate Tampa Bay Beer Week.

Co-founders, Christopher and Leslie Johnson have been planning the opening of their brewery for several years since they made the decision to leave their careers in the corporate world to follow their passion for craft beer and dream to open their own business: “We are leaving the 9 to 5 behind us and starting our future at 6:10”.

Chris, who has been brewing for over 20 years, was a founding member of Tampa’s first home brewing club the Tampa Bay B.E.E.R.S. back in 1990. He started brewing competitively about three years ago and his creations have won numerous medals in local, regional and national brewing competitions. Since then, Chris’s brewing has been featured in the “Saint Petersburg Times” and he demonstrated the brewing process as a guest on the nationally syndicated Daytime TV show.

Six Ten Brewing will offer a variety of hand-crafted ales and lagers made with the finest quality malted barley, hops, yeast and water. These beers will be available to the public in the brewery tasting room which will also offer beer to go in growlers, bottles, and kegs.

Lagerhaus Brewery to celebrate 6th anniversary

Palm Harbor- Lagerhaus Brewing Company began as the brainchild of Mr. Franz Rothschadl and Mr. Josef Fischer. After winning numerous awards for beers of various types and service while working for other restaurants, the two men decided to form their own brewpub in the Eastlake area of Oldsmar/ Palm Harbor.

Thus Lagerhaus was born in December, six years ago. The brewery began making European-themed beers, they branched out and have brewed many American twists into their beers, like adding pear to their hefeweizen, which Rothschadl admits would get him “tarred and feathered in Germany.” Lagerhaus pours at many local festivals- everything from their light and refreshing beers to their big boozy behemoth dubbed “44 magnum.”

This weekend the brewery and restaurant will celebrate six years in business at their Palm Harbor Brewery. The party will last from noon to midnight at 3438 South EasT Lake Business Center in Palm Harbor.

From the brewery:

I can’t believe it! Our Lagerhaus is going to be 6 years old and It has been quite a ride! Join me for our birthday bash this Saturday and every Lagerhauser will get a free beer or wine of choice on us. Larry is going to roast a whole “pig with a twist” in the Biergarten!

Tampa Bay Brew Bus launches Brew Bus Brewing

Press Release:
Today is the day that we launch Brew Bus Brewing! Formally Tampa Bay Brew Bus Beer, we intend to separate our successful Brew Bus tour program from our craft beer line of cans to allow for further success for both branches of our business.

Our first can release is our Last Stop IPA. This new brand was well received back in August when it was first released in kegs. A recipe by Josh Brengle, lead brewer at Cigar City Brewing in Tampa, FL, this hop bomb is brewed with Magnum, Centennial, Columbus, Amarillo, Simcoe, and Citra hops. Clocking in at 7.2% this highly drinkable, paler IPA lends towards heavy doses of citrus and tropical flavors. Available distribution in cans and kegs with JJ Taylor Florida Distributing and Brown Distributing.
During the next month you will see our other brands being released in cans, including: Rollin Dirty Irish Red Ale, Are Wheat There Yet? American Wheat Ale, and our all-natural blueberry wheat ale called You’re My Boy, Blue.

We will continue to support our local community wherever we have a Brew Bus location. It has always been my mission to further promote the craft beer movement while increasing the economic impact to local breweries, craft beer bars, and brewpubs.
