Victory Brewing introduces Vital IPA to Florida

Press Release: Victory Brewing Company (Victory) introduces Vital IPA in 12 oz. bottles in six and twelve packs with a new social media campaign to celebrate the spirit of ‘Vital.’ Fans of Victory will share photos of themselves enjoying the fresh, crisp and complex brew while pursuing their favorite summertime activities – whether lounging on a hammock, cooling off from a bike ride, or enjoying a backyard barbeque, Vital IPA is #VitalToWhereYouAre. Throughout the next two months, select hashtag users will be awarded Victory swag such as t-shirts and Koozies

Available year-round, Vital IPA is bright and aromatic, packed with American Simcoe, Chinook and Citra hops and clean German malts. The result is a light-bodied, golden IPA with rich aromas of pine, tropical fruits and stone fruits. Vital IPA has a 6.5% ABV and can be purchased throughout Victory’s 37 state distribution footprint for a suggested retail price of $9.99 for a 6-pack of 12 oz. bottles or cans.

Vital IPA is a unique IPA that falls into a category of its own. It was conceived when the brewers at Victory found themselves yearning for a different kind of IPA–one that finished with the refreshment of a Pilsner. As German-trained lager brewers, Victory’s brewers combined their European training with the brewery’s overarching thirst for American creativity to create an IPA that stands out for its pilsner malt base, extremely dry fermentation, filtered clarity and aromatically intense American dry hop profile over a bitter, quenching finish. Pilsner brewing requires a certain thoughtfulness that the Vital IPA brewing process replicates in the malt bill, hop schedule and fermentation temperature. Another Vital IPA distinction is its incorporation of a very unique ale-yeast strain, the Kolsch yeast native to Köln, Germany, that is not utilized in a similar fashion by any other craft brewers.

“Vital IPA begins as an IPA and finishes as a Pilsner, providing an entirely unique flavor experience. We wanted to make an IPA that was crisp, refreshing and a real cooler beer. Something you reach for on a hike, at a concert or at the beach,” said Victory founder and brewmaster, Bill Covaleski. “Be it on draft, in a can or a bottle, we want this beer to be Vital to Where You Are.”

Victory Brewing introduces the Blackboard Series of beers

Press Release: Victory Brewing Company (Victory) announces the launch of its Blackboard Series, four adventurous and deliciously distinctive beers brewed with fresh ingredients that are a creative craft riff on restaurant blackboard specials. The annual series includes a new creation every three months alternating between bottle and draft only releases. Much like restaurant blackboard specials are used to entice loyal patrons to veer off menu and try something interesting and new with market-fresh produce so does the Victory Blackboard Series.

The first special in the series, Agave IPA with Grapefruit, was released on January 1, 2016 and is brewed with four variations of American hops that juxtapose strong and bitter aromas against agave and grapefruit additions to create a light, citric bite. The ale is fresh, crisp and bracing, reminiscent of a ripe, ruby red grapefruit. The sweet agave syrup provides a perfect foil to the tartness of the grapefruit resulting in a juicy winter fruit beer. Agave IPA with Grapefruit is available from January through March and can be purchased throughout Victory’s 37-state distribution footprint for a suggested retail price of $9.99 for a 4-pack of 12 oz. bottles. Pricing will vary slightly based upon location. Use Victory’s Beerfinder to discover a nearby location, or download the free Victory Mobile app for Android or iPhone.

The second beer of the series is certain to excite the funky and wild ambitions side of many craft beer fans. The Dry-Hopped Brett Pils will be available on draft from April to June 2016. The third offering, a Berliner Weisse with Elderflower, will be sold in 12 oz. bottles. The final introduction of the series is an Oatmeal Porter with Hazelnut in a draft format.

“We developed the idea for this series while witnessing the popularity of the daily menu additions in our brewpubs. Using super fresh, seasonal ingredients as the driving force of our Blackboard Series we welcome January and it’s bounty of enticing grapefruits,” said Victory’s President and Brewmaster, Bill Covaleski. “The goal of the Blackboard Series is to be flexible, adaptable and diverse while maintaining our high standard for quality. Much like our talented chefs make menu changes, we followed suit to bring ‘specials’ to our fans from the blackboard to the bottle or tap.”

Victory Brewing Company is bringing back some old favorites

Press Release: As part of its sentimental look back on nearly two decades creating delicious craft beer, Victory Brewing Company (Victory) announces the comebacks of some of their earlier popular brews that made them the craft brewing powerhouse they are today. For the next three months, Victory will lovingly resurrect three different brands to taps across the country. Through November, Hop Wallop will be available, followed by Yakima Glory in December and finally in January, Ten Years Alt will be available on tap from sea to shining sea.

An original homage to the seasonal hop harvest, Hop Wallop a juicy, hoppy Imperial IPA with an 8.5% ABV lives up to its name by packing an all-around flavor punch. Horace ‘Hop’ Wallop made his original debut in 2003 and was given a golden parachute package by the craft brewer in 2013 much to many a fan’s chagrin. Throughout its run, Hop Wallop enjoyed consistently high-ratings from craft beer aficionados and even to this day has quite a fan club. With its whole flower English and American hops and subtly silky malt base, the brilliant amber liquid gold pairs well with burgers, hard cheeses and anything BBQ.

Idolizing and thanking Washington State for the leafy bounty of hops that the Yakima Valley produces, four varieties of American hops from Yakima Valley are used for the dark IPA known as Yakima Glory. Introduced in 2008, Yakima Glory made its last tank to shelf voyage in 2013 on behalf of Victory. Deep malt aromas of crisp pretzels emerge from the pleasantly enormous hop character in the initial impression of this beer. With an ABV of 8.7% it delivers complex satisfaction with a delicious edge and brings lots of cheer to its fans in more ways than one.

Ten Years Alt was created to mark a ten-year achievement, but also to flex some serious creative craft brewer muscle by maintaining its first Dopplesticke in the country status. Released in the dead of winter 2006, its rich malt, toasted bread, toffee and caramel notes combine to warm and refresh. The tastiness and quality craftsmanship shines through in this deep amber lovely brew with an ABV of (8.5%). Fans who remember it and appreciate the style will love this comeback and those who don’t know of it, are encouraged to try it.

“Introducing new brands is very exciting to us and we love the artistic process which is one of the greatest joys of my job,” said Victory’s President and Brewmaster, Bill Covaleski. “On the flip side, the least favorite part of my job is choosing which established brand will have to pass the baton to make room for the new, young gun. I hope our fans will be as delighted as I am to see some of their cherished brands make a comeback and take a walk down memory lane through drinking some really great craft beer.”
