Cigar City’s Wandering Pelican Black Ale now available at the brewery and in distribution.

What is the Wandering Pelican?

From Cigar City’s description:

Wandering Pelican Black Ale-
A hopped up American Black Ale with dark malt character however the roast character is subdued and balanced with a hop profile that creates dark fruit notes with hints of dark spice. The result is a dark berry jam expression with an extended dark chocolate finish. 8.2%ABV

We teamed up with Cleveland’s own Great Lakes Brewing to craft this special brew in honor of a Brown Pelican that ended up in Cleveland, OH in his travels back in 2013. This welcome stranger made Lake Erie his home for several months and became a local celebrity.
