Wakefield Brewing is listed as a ‘Bucket-List Brewery’

When blog FirstWeFeast posted their list of twelve breweries to see before death, there were few surprises at the top: Ale Apothecary in Bend, Oregon; Brasserie Cantillon in Brussels, Belgium; Rodenbach in Roeselare, Belgium; but the only brewery mentioned in the southeastern United States is one that is not open yet in south Florida.

Miami’s up-and-coming craft brewery, J. Wakefield Brewing Company, has been gaining momentum to opening day. The lauded former homebrewer has been keeping the public posted along the way so they can both get the news and keep abreast of developments. Anticipation for Wakefield’s opening is reaching higher pitches all the time, especially after Wakefield beers were poured at the inaugural, nationally-attended What The Funk? Event in Denver, Colorado.

According to the blog, Wakefield’s beers “ran the gamut from juicy IPAs, to heavy-hitting barrel-aged stouts. Jonathan plans to feature fruit-flavored sours as well.” Apparently the same beers that put Wakefield on the map are continuing to garner him praise while anticipation continues to build for that time in the future when Wakefield’s tasting room is open.
