Zymarium Meadery – the meadery formed by two award-winning meadmakers from Orlando – has announced their building plans and their active Indiegogo campaign to help build Orlando’s first meadery.
From Zymarium Meadery:
WHAT IS ZYMARIUM?
Zymarium Meadery is a collaboration between co-owners Joe Leigh and Ginger Leigh who are bringing together their individual and shared passions to showcase the art and science of making high quality, flavorful meads. Joe Leigh, who is Zymarium’s master mead-maker, has developed over 85 unique and highly rated meads with over 30 medals and awards in mead making in the past 3 years, including 6 Mazer Cups, and was named one of the top 10 AMMA National Mead Makers of the year in 2018 and 2019. Ginger Leigh, who is known professionally as Synthestruct, is a multisensory artist and experience designer whose large scale audio-visual works and interactive installations have been presented at venues around the world, and was voted Orlando’s ‘Best Visual Artist’ (Orlando Weekly 2020) for her works throughout the city at Snap! Gallery, Immerse, Dazzling Nights, and the Orlando Science Center.
This delightful duo have been married for 10+ years and are excited to be joining forces professionally to create something truly unique…
ABOUT THE MEAD
At Zymarium, we love exploring these endless possibilities and pushing both the art and science of making high quality, delicious meads. We focus on creating modern meads using the latest fermentation methods and honoring the long history and tradition that comes with the world’s oldest fermented beverage.
WHAT DO WE NEED AND WHAT DO YOU GET?
We are looking to raise $40,000 or more so we can get everything we need to make you some amazing meads! Your generous donation will be helping purchase stainless steel fermenters, glycol chiller, bottle filler, corker, labeler, wine pumps, hoses, fruit press, barrel racks, and a bunch of other things needed to make delicious meads.
