This weekend, Odessa’s Pye Road Meadworks has announced the upcoming release of two new meads from the award-winning meadery.
BA GLASS ELEVATOR
Our new Bourbon BA Glass Elevator – created in collaboration with Pontoon Brewing – is an exercise in dark fruit excess! Already fermented on huge doses of Red Raspberry, Black Raspberry, Boysenberry, and Black Currant, we further aged the mead on more Black Raspberries, Boysenberries, and hand-split vanilla beans.
Not enough? Ok fine, we then aged this gargantuan mead for nine months in a small-format bourbon barrel. It’s got HUGE rich, layered flavors, and just the coolest label ever reminiscent of superhero comic book art. Our base “Glass Elevator” mead sold out months ago, and we expect this one to be no different – grab it quick before it’s gone!
KARMIC CONCLUSION
Meet Pye Road Meadworks’ Karmic Conclusion mead, our fun twist on the classic PBJ. We crafted this one with delectable concord grape juice, peanuts, and a touch of vanilla – but this mead captures the nostalgic flavor of a peanut butter and jelly sandwich in a lighter, Florida-friendly way. At a tamer 10% ABV, it’s a still mead that’s perfect for summer vibes. School is out for the summer, and so is our first PBJ mead!
