Niceville’s Strange Colt Brewery to close their doors

It seems that not a month goes by in Florida anymore without news of a brewery closing or two. This time, Niceville’s Strange Colt Brewing is announcing its closure, with at least a consolation that Pirate City Brewing in Fort Walton Beach will carry a torch and continue to craft unique beers in Florida’s panhandle.

From Strange Colt Brewery:

***Dear Strange Colt Family,
After much consideration, we’ve made the difficult decision to close the doors of Strange Colt Brewery here in Niceville. While this chapter is coming to an end, the spirit of Strange Colt will live on as we shift our focus to opening our new sister brewery, Pirate City Brewing, in Fort Walton Beach.
Though Pirate City Brewing marks a fresh beginning, the heart and soul of Strange Colt will live on in every pint we pour. We are excited to create something new, while honoring the community, passion, and memories that made Strange Colt so special. We hope you’ll join us in Fort Walton as we embark on this new journey together.

Thank you for all of your support and for being part of our journey. We are so grateful for your unwavering support and for making Strange Colt a part of your lives. We look forward to raising a glass with you at Pirate City.
With deep appreciation,
The Strange Colt Team ***

About Strange Colt Brewing
Strange Colt Brewery is a Euro-style pub, serving craft beer brewed on site in Niceville, Florida in the state’s panhandle. At Strange Colt, our brewmasters are dedicated to creating an assortment of unique craft beers.

Why call it Strange Colt? We were searching for a name that embodied the character of our beers and the culture of beer enthusiasts. Born from British roots, we were enamored by the classic neighborhood pubs of Europe.
