Lately, when a post begins by saying that a brewery has been sold, that post also gives patrons and fans a week (if lucky) to come and say goodbye to a beloved brewery or establishment. So, when Zephyrhills Brewing Company owner Steve Bahorski began a post that way, it felt like bad news was coming. Thankfully, the news changed for the better.

It’s official. I have sold the brewery!
When I hired in as an assistant brewer/cellarman back in 2017, I never thought that I would be given the opportunity to purchase the brewery from Robert & Terry in 2019. I had some exciting times over the past 7 years and have made some great connections. I will always be thankful to the regulars that have helped to keep the brewery going over the past 5 years. I would have never survived Covid in 2020 without all of your support. I will always be thankful to Robert & Terry for being mentors and showing me how to run a brewery. You’ve both helped me grow both personally and professionally. But the time has come for me to move on. I have been approached over the years about selling the brewery and this year I decided to listen to the offers. Many have heard the rumors that it was happening, so today it is official.

The good news is that I am passing it along to someone that will keep it as a microbrewery. They are going to keep the Mug Club. Music Bingo will continue on Wednesdays and Trivia on Thursdays. Ted will still be the head brewer making all your favorite beers. Annmarie will still be here on Wed and Fridays. Sunday will have the Ticket, so you can still watch your NFL team. Everyone can look forward to the new owner’s ideas, while still holding on to the things they love about ZBC.

I hope that you all will continue to support the brewery, as I know that it’s like a second home to many of you. Thank you all for the past 7 years. I will never forget all the connections I made and appreciate all the the love and support over the years!!
