Tampa Bay Brewing Company makes bid to pour at Tampa Int’l

Tampa Bay Brewing Company is looking to have a banner year in 2015.

First, the Ybor City-based craft brewery is opening a brand new brewery in Oldsmar. That brewery will be a huge expansion project and is slated to include a brewery and pub, akin to its renowned location in Ybor City.

Now, according to a recent article in the Tampa Bay Business Journal, the craft brewery is throwing its hat into the ring to become a part of the “emphasis on local flavor” that Tampa International Airport is seeking to bring to their hubs.

According to the Journal, “Landing an airport vendor slot is a major coup. TIA’s master plan calls for its concession footprint to increase from 87,000 to 127,000 square feet. The airport estimates that the program will generate $1.3.billion in sales over 10 years.”

According to an airport spokeswoman, the decision should be taken to a board in June of 2015.
