One of Tampa’s hometown brewers, Tim Ogden has brought many recipes to the Bay Area breweries and worked on so many more. Tim began his brewing career at HOPS Brewery and Restaurants and was one of the first brewers hired at Cigar City Brewing. He has worked for the Cigar City Brewpub, Tampa Bay Brewing Company, Commerce Brewing, and now he has his own operation, Deviant Libation.
And now Deviant Libation is going to have its first beer released in cans.
From Deviant Libation via email to email list:
We have our first can drop coming on Friday, 9/22! Visibility is a sour ale aged on Mango, Papaya, and American white oak. We will be opening one hour early for members of Deviant Society to get first crack at tasting and grab any cans if you like, before they become available to the general public at 4. We’ve teamed up with BKN media for label design and party planning for the evening, and intend to have a great time with this.
In addition to other aspects of the festivities, we will be raffling off one lifetime membership on the night of the release. This membership is sponsored by a dear friend of Deviant, Troy Eli. Troy has been a supporting Tim’s professional endeavors for many years, and decided that while he would never be able to utilize this membership while living in New York, he wanted to support Deviant Libation like so many of you. We’re beyond grateful. Beginning on Vinyl Night and running through 9/22, we will offer one raffle ticket per guest per day, no purchase necessary. On the day of the raffle, we will additionally offer one raffle ticket per item purchased. Beer, t-shirt, 4-pack, sticker, etc. If you have a partner, neighbor, friend or family member who wants in, this is a great opportunity!
We’re oh so close to commencing on-site production, and just in time for the cooler months. Stay tuned for the madness that ensues. Stouts, IPAs, and spirits are all around the corner.
